Kirsten Knipp, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Vignette 


Kirsten Knipp, Vignette’s senior product marketing manager, has extensive experience with managing and marketing products and solutions for the world’s leading technology companies.


As senior product marketing manager, she is responsible for the go-to-market strategies, pricing, tactics and launches for Vignette’s award-winning Web Content Management solutions. She also collaborates with the company’s leading customers to develop innovative solutions for their unique business needs.


Prior to joining Vignette, Knipp served as platform enablement manager and strategic planner for the mobile division of Marvell Technology Group. While there, she defined and incubated multiple revenue streams.  As a platform marketing engineer for Intel Corporation’s Handheld Products Group, her execution of product strategy, planning, communications and negotiations resulted in two design wins for Intel XScale® Viiv™ technology.  Her work at Siemens Communications prior to Intel included the successful launch of the North American division’s best-selling mobile phone – a campaign that resulted in more than $250 million in revenue.


Knipp is a graduate of Cornell University. She earned her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she focused on technology and marketing and won the Seley Scholarship for Leadership and Contribution.

Tim Walters, Ph.D., Senior Analyst, Forrester Research

Tim Walters serves Information & Knowledge Management professionals for Forrester Research. He is a leading expert on Web content management, digital asset management, globalization, and content-centric applications. Tim helps Forrester clients develop strategies; identify and adopt best practices; and evaluate and choose the technologies needed to manage, publish, and deliver persuasive Web experiences to customers and other end users.


Tim comes to Forrester with a powerful combination of experience in teaching, advising, and software marketing and strategy. Most recently, he was director of international marketing and strategy for FatWire, a leading WCM provider, where he managed all marketing, competitive intelligence, and vertical market programs outside of North America. Earlier, Tim was a professor at the University of Rochester and New York University.


Tim has a B.A. in political science from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. from the Humanities Center at Johns Hopkins University.
