    ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

    Nicole Laplante, Marketing Manager, PROPHIX 

    For more than 5 years Nicole has played a key role in educating and providing business solutions for PROPHIX Software clients. Nicole originally started her career at PROPHIX as a Professional Services Consultant.  As a senior consultant, for two and a half years, Nicole consulted for organizations in a variety of industries and sizes. Nicole provided the ownership and data integrity to the clients’ planning process and the individuals involved with this process.  

    Nicole has now moved over into a marketing position, acting as Marketing Manager for PROPHIX. Nicole plays an important role in ensuring quality and consistency in the creation and execution of all marketing materials and communication initiatives.

    Complementing Ms. Laplante’s experiences as a PROPHIX consultant are her previous professional and educational experiences.  Acting as a Manager at State Street Trust Company and graduating from the MBA program at the Haskayne School of Business has provided her with the opportunity to enhance and develop her analytical and project management skills. Nicole also received her Honours BA in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University, FNK Instructional Techniques certificate and the Canadian Securities certificate in 1997.

     

    Russell Shipe, VP of Finance, Brunswick Electric Membership Corp.

    Russell is currently Vice President of Finance at Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation, an electric distribution cooperative serving the southeastern North Carolina coast.  His role involves cost management consulting specializing in activity-based costing, depreciation, and other accounting issues impacting electric cooperatives.

    Russell is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is CPA licensed in Virginia and North Carolina.  He is also a member a number of associations including AICPA, VSCPA and NCACPA.

     

    Craig Schiff, President & CEO, BPM Partners 

    Mr. Schiff is a pioneer in the Business Performance Management space. As a founding member of IMRS/Hyperion Software (now Hyperion Solutions) he helped create and define the space, known first as analytic applications, then Business Intelligence, and now BPM. Mr. Schiff spent 16 years at Hyperion and as its Senior Vice President ran the 500 person Products and Services Group. Most recently he co-founded OutlookSoft. While at OutlookSoft he was President and CEO and oversaw the delivery of the first unified, web-based Business Performance Management solution. Prior to Hyperion and OutlookSoft he project managed the custom development of financial reporting systems for customers of GE Information Services Company including American Express and AMF. Mr. Schiff has published dozens of articles, spoken at numerous BPM conferences to thousands of business leaders, appeared on WOR Weekend Business Report, and was interviewed by Al Haig on World Business Review. Currently Mr. Schiff writes a monthly column entitled 'Maximize Business Performance' for DM Review, is responsible for the BPM expert channel and blog on the Business Intelligence Network, and develops the annual BPM Buyers Guide for Business Finance magazine. He is a recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Mr. Schiff holds a B.S. from S.U.N.Y and an M.B.A. from Fordham University.
