In this webinar Peter Alperin, M.D., Medical Director at Archimedes, Inc., will explain the Archimedes Model and its importance for Healthcare Modeling.
The Model is a rigorously validated, mathematical model of human physiology, diseases, interventions, and healthcare systems.
Dr. Alperin will highlight a recent study done in collaboration with the AHA, the ADA, and ACS that shows the influence of compliance on the outcome of clinical prevention activities. What would happen if patients followed ‘doctors orders’ and did what their doctors asked them to do? The Archimedes model was used to analyze this and other questions relating to the effects of 11 widely recognized clinical preventive services on reducing cardiovascular disease.
The participant will leave the presentation:
- Understanding, in general terms, how the Archimedes Model works and how it can help the participant understand the likely outcomes of various interventions
- Understanding how compliance to accepted guidelines would influence health outcomes in the US population
- Understand the cost and market implications of compliance with national guidelines
